Daywise Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Shimla ( Approx. 349 KM)

Upon arrival in Delhi board your overnight Volvo bus from I.S.B.T Kashmiri gate for Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla - Sarahan (Approx 162 KM)

Arrival at Shimla I.S.B.T meet our Tour Manager & Start your further journey to Sarahan. Get freshen up and have breakfast in Kufri & continue the scenic drive towards Sarahan via Narkanda, enjoying beautiful mountain views on the way. Reach Sarahan get fresh & Visit the famous & ancient Bhimakali Temple. Have dinner & Overnight stay in Sarahan Hotel/ Homestay.

Day 3: Sarahan - Sangla / Chitkul ( Approx 129 KM)

After breakfast, depart from Sarahan and drive towards Sangla. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel by afternoon get fresh & leave for Chitkul the last inhabited Indian village on the Indo- Tibetan border(Subject to road condition). Enjoy the pristine beauty of the Baspa Valley, with its wooden houses, Dowing river, and snow-capped peaks. Spend some time exploring Chitkul village before continuing to Sangla (approx. 1 hour), another scenic valley known for its apple orchards and lush green landscapes. Arrive in Sangla by evening, Have dinner & Overnight stay in Sangla Hotel/ Homestay.

Day 4: Sangla -Nako -Tabo (Approx 188 KM)

After breakfast, drive from Sangla to Tabo, a scenic yet adventurous journey through the rugged terrains of Kinnaur and Spiti. En route, pass through, Spillo, and Nako Village, where you can visit the tranquil Nako Lake and monastery. Continue your drive along the stunning Spiti River valley to reach Tabo, often called the “Ajanta of the Himalayas” for its ancient monastery and murals. On arrival, check in to your guesthouse and relax for the night in the peaceful surroundings. Have dinner & overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 5: Tabo -Gue - Kaza (Approx 47 KM)

After breakfast, depart from Tabo and drive towards Gue Village (approx. 1 hour), famous for the mummy of a 500-year-old monk preserved in the Gue Monastery. Spend some time exploring the village and monastery before continuing your journey to Kaza (approx. 2–3 hours). En route, visit the ancient Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cli> with breathtaking views of the con%uence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. Continue your journey through the scenic Spiti Valley, surrounded by high mountains and rugged landscapes. Arrive in Kaza by afternoon, check in to your hotel, and relax. Evening free for local exploration or leisure. Have dinner & overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 6: Kaza Local sightseeing

After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing in Kaza. Visit the ancient Key Monastery, beautifully set on a hilltop overlooking the Spiti River, followed by Kibber Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Continue to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post oMce, and Komic Village, one of the highest motorable villages. Continue to Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia, o;ering thrilling views of the Spiti River gorge. Later, visit Langza Village, famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich surroundings. Return to Kaza by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Kaza - Kalpa ( Approx 219 KM)

After breakfast, start your return journey from Kaza to Kalpa. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Spiti River, passing through Tabo, Nako, and Pooh Village. On reaching kalpa visit dangerous Suicide point click picture & back to kalpa Hotel/ Homestay Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, stroll around the peaceful village and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset over the snow-capped peaks. Have dinner & overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, it is time to say good bye to snow-capped mountain peaks. Check out & leave for Shimla. Arrive in Shimla by evening if time permits explore the mall road and transfer to Shimla I.S.B.T to board the Volvo bus back Delhi. Tour ends with fond memories.

Important Notes:

  • Access to high altitude regions of Spiti Valley, especially Hikkim, Komik, Langza Village and Pin Valley etc may be blocked during winter months due to excessive snowfall. Hence, the visit to these locations is weather dependent. In such a case, we will look for the best possible alternatives, as feasible.
  • Travellers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/Dights reaching Delhi not later than 4 PM on the trip start date. Similarly, on trip end date, book returning Dight/trains leaving post 2 PM.
  • Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. may cause itinerary change.
  • We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.
  • You will be travelling to High Altitude cold desert places of India. It’s advisable to consult your personal doctors for any sort of medical awareness before travelling.
  • There are very few medical facilities/hospitals available at such remote locations and Ghoomteraho Holidays shall not be responsible for any such of Medical emergency thus occurred.

  • However any kind of support with respect to arranging logistics will be arranged if required and the expenses shall be borne by the clients.
